Carroll Daniel Construction was selected to build their new manufacturing and warehouse facility in Anderson, South Carolina – allowing E+I Engineering to produce more electrical bus bars and meet growing demand.
Building Opportunities in Anderson
The construction of E+I Engineering’s new facility created 200 new jobs for Anderson County and its surrounding areas. This expansion demonstrated continued strength for the corporation’s North American operations – investing in the talent and skilled workforce in the Anderson area. The plant’s opening in 2021 increased career opportunities for the residents and families of the community
Finding the Right Concrete to Serve the Client’s Need
Carroll Daniel Construction partnered with the E+I project team to find the slab mix design to withstand the abrasive and high impact manufacturing processes in their facility. After coordination between the teams, dry shake metallic hardener with graded iron aggregate was specified to meet the client’s need. In order to maintain a more controlled environment, Carroll Daniel Construction completed the building structure first to protect the concrete and iron slab. Using this slab mix design resulted in a surface eight times stronger than a standard concrete slab – built to withstand decades of manufacturing.
