PROJECT HIGHLIGHT

Beecher Hills Elementary School

Beecher Hills Elementary School is an International Baccalaureate World School that was built in 1958. Carroll Daniel completed the modernization and renovation of 50,000 SF of the elementary school and the addition of a 9,000 SF gymnasium in the heart of a residential neighborhood. The project team re-roofed the entire school and revamped the computer lab, cafeteria, and related support spaces to meet the needs of the growing community of students. The team also updated the HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHT

Beecher Hills Elementary School

Despite the challenges of working on a tight, hilly site that was difficult to access with unfavorable existing conditions, our project team still completed the project on schedule and on budget. Carroll Daniel’s Beecher Hills Elementary School project team won several awards in for the modernization and renovation of this innovative school:

PROJECT HIGHLIGHT

Bethune Elementary School

Carroll Daniel completed a renovation project for Bethune Elementary School – a 72,270 SF school in Atlanta sitting on a 4.5-acre lot. Renovations included replacing the outdated HVAC system and upgrading the electrical system throughout the school. With an extremely short preconstruction time, we worked closely with the design team to expedite a schematic design of critical elements to develop an accurate estimate of the final Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) early on.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHT

Coan Middle School

Carroll Daniel also completed a renovation project for Coan Middle School in Atlanta, a 181,094 SF school on 16.6 acres of land. The scope of the project included replacing the HVAC system and upgrading the electrical system throughout the school. Additionally, the project team conducted minor refinishing work to accommodate the upgrades.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHT

Woodson Park Academy & YMCA

The Woodson Park Academy & YMCA project included a new 115,000 SF K-8 school, a 23,000 SF YMCA, and a 2,500 SF Community Wellness Clinic and Early Learning Center to benefit a historically under-served community in West Atlanta. The project was a unique, community-revolutionizing project financed and built in partnership between Atlanta Public Schools, the Grove Park Foundation, the YMCA of Metro Atlanta, and KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools. Carroll Daniel Construction took on the task of building three facilities for four separate clients on an urban site patched together from ten properties, all under a single contract.
