A Colorful Environment
This 120,000 SF school is filled with innovative features, including an outdoor amphitheater, large windows for an abundance of natural lighting, a ceiling baffle sound system throughout, and color-coded corridors. It is designed with flexibility in mind, and every space is available for learning, including collaborative learning spaces in the corridors and the courtyard outside.
Beyond the Scope
Pine Street Elementary School (PSES) is a replacement of the oldest facility within Rockdale County Public Schools. As such, there are several generations of PSES alumni in the community, and many were interested in the project. The client’s intent was for this new school to be an exciting, new facility for those in the community. At the center of the building, was a designed courtyard with outdoor seating for constructive learning. This design was not within the project’s budget, but the Carroll Daniel team worked with the owner and architect to offer various options to build it into a reality.
