Paving the Way
Danish firm, Geveko Markings, which makes pavement markings used in road construction and for other applications, partnered with Carroll Daniel to design and build their new manufacturing center and North American headquarters.
Strong Knowledge of the Sub Market Matters
A mass quantity of rock was encountered under the designated building pad area and would require blasting. This put a significant time crunch on the remaining schedule. Carroll Daniel leaned on our strong knowledge of the subcontractor market to form a team of outstanding subcontractors who met or exceeded their durations to maintain the established final completion date. It was a true team effort to meet this fast-track timeline.
The Markings of Success
Since Carroll Daniel was both the designer and the builder of this facility, it was our responsibility to work with the owner to ensure that the facility would meet code, despite the sometimes flammable and hazardous materials that they store on site. Carroll Daniel brought on a Hazard Assessment Consultant to study the drawings and do a hazard analysis with regard to life safety, including fire safety requirements and containment. This led to the installation of a sprinkled racking system and constructing separate buildings for flammable materials.
