HOSCHTON, GA. – Carroll Daniel Construction joined Jackson County School System (JCSS) officials and community members to celebrate the ribbon cutting of Heroes Elementary School. The event began with a V.I.P. tour of the school, followed by Heroes Elementary School students raising the American flag while the the Jackson County High School Band performed the National Anthem.

JCSS Superintendent, Dr. Philip Brown, shared opening remarks and introduced the Board of Education members and distinguished guests in attendance. In addition to Dr. Brown, Steve McCune with Southern A&E, Senior Business Developer Chris Erwin with Carroll Daniel Construction, and Principal of Heroes Elementary School Kristi Holloway addressed the crowd that gathered to celebrate the new school. Each shared their excitement about the opening of the 7th elementary school in JCSS.

Following the ceremony, the building was opened for a community walkthrough, and local public safety agencies were in attendance to discuss the heroic careers that serve the Jackson County community with students and community members. The school features heroic themes throughout, and donated uniforms honoring U.S. military, law enforcement, first responders and teachers were displayed throughout the school at the ribbon cutting ceremony.

The new 125,550 SF Heroes Elementary School sits adjacent to Jackson County High School and Legacy Knoll Middle School — two other schools Carroll Daniel Construction partnered with JCSS to build. With a capacity to serve 1,075 students the state-of-the-art facility will provide an updated learning environment for the students of JCSS and recognize heroes in both the Jackson County community and the country who rise to challenges every day.
