Project Overview

Research and development facilities require understanding of functional and aesthetic needs. When French-based fragrance and flavors firm, Gattefossé, needed a new US-based cosmetics R&D Laboratory, they enlisted our team to provide a full turnkey solution. The project involved renovation of space adjacent to existing Gattefossé offices in a three-floor flexible office building in Paramus, NJ.

An Advanced Design with Innovative Airflow

Because of the fragrance work that would be done in the facility, it was imperative our team design the use of fume hoods with a dedicated make-up air unit to capture lab air and exhaust outside to prevent odors migrating into other areas of the building. Understanding the client wanted a facility for clients to visit, premium floor, wall, ceiling and casework finishes were selected to accentuate Gattefossé’s message of being an industry leader in the fragrance and flavors industry.
