Building on a Strong Partnership
Carroll Daniel Engineering has served Pactiv Evergreen plants for more than twenty years at 35 sites across the US. On May 1, 2013, a fire at Pactiv Evergreen’s Advanced Packaging Solutions plant destroyed most of the 237,000 SF building. Pactiv Evergreen turned to Carroll Daniel Engineering for engineering and architecture solutions that would allow them to demolish the existing building and design and build a new structure as fast as possible.
Rapid Execution, Reliable Results
Carroll Daniel Engineering responded by quickly identifying and engaging local vendors and subcontractors to conduct a forensic engineering analysis. Because of this, demolition was able to begin immediately. Carroll Daniel Engineering managed the demolition and removal of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, equipment and general debris in an expedited manner.
Streamlined Design
The new 160,000 SF facility was constructed around the salvaged manufacturing lines so schedule could be maintained on these long lead items. Carroll Daniel Engineering worked closely with Pactiv Evergreen on design and engineering, which allowed them to begin operations two months early.
