Partnering with PepsiCo

Carroll Daniel Construction was selected to build a 172,720 SF facility within the Commerce Crossroads Business Park, a development designed to accommodate five industrial facilities. Upon completion, PepsiCo moved into the building to support their growing operations.

After several years of rapid growth, the company required an additional dedicated space. Building on the strong partnership formed during the initial project, Carroll Daniel Construction was once again selected to deliver a custom-designed building tailored to meet PepsiCo’s specific operational needs.

The newer of the facilities spans 200,000 SF and includes 10,000 SF of office space and a 4,000 SF fleet shop. Designed with future innovation in mind, PepsiCo plans to utilize this building to implement a fully automated packaging system, further enhancing their operational efficiency.

Together, these facilities will significantly expand PepsiCo’s capacity to deliver more products to cities surrounding Commerce, Georgia, supporting their ongoing growth in the region.

Commerce Crossroads

Building Solutions Despite Sitework Delays

Sitework at Commerce Crossroads included 40’ deep excavations, which revealed seven underground streams in various places across the 28-acre site. The streams created schedule delays for sitework, as the project team was continually working to control the water in order to dry large areas of the site. To mitigate this, stream heads were individually located, and the water was piped into the storm drainage system – an effective and efficient solution that still allowed us to deliver the project on-time.

This new facility is an integral next step in our recent expansion in the state of Georgia. Our Commerce facility will increase our capacity and productivity in the state, enabling PepsiCo to better service the needs of our customers across key counties in northern Georgia and give them the great beverages they love while creating job opportunities on the ground.
