A New Partnership
Korean Company, Enchem, partnered with Carroll Daniel to build its first U.S. location. Carroll Daniel was committed to bringing Enchem’s vision to life and employed innovative construction solutions to meet all their facility requirements.
Facility Recharge
As a Korean technology leader specializing in the development and manufacturing of electrolytes for rechargeable batteries and electrostatic double-layer capacitors (ELDCs), Enchem required a facility that supported their high production demand. The existing 283-acre complex included six buildings, and construction on the campus encompassed renovations to the existing 87,500 SF Main Accessory Building, constructing a new three-story process tower, a NMP tower containment dike and a tank farm containment dike.
Fitting International Production Needs into USA Codes
Carroll Daniel was committed to bringing Enchem’s vision to life and utilized construction solutions to fulfill their facility needs. US codes and standards differed from codes and standards in Korea, and this was a proposed threat to design, schedule and overall project success. In an effort to fully understand and make the best decisions for project delivery and design, Carroll Daniel traveled to Poland and Korea in February 2020 to visit two of Enchem’s facilities to help understand requirements and how the USA codes would affect construction, operation and production. The Carroll Daniel team’s attention to detail and commitment to excellent project delivery for our client, allowed us to provide a smooth process for this design-build project.
