Building a Corporate Campus in North Georgia
Fox Factory, a manufacturer of performance shock absorbers and racing suspension products, selected Carroll Daniel to build its relocated assembly facilities in Georgia inside the Gainesville Industrial Park.
Out-Foxing Inefficiency
To Fox, the creation of a campus environment means an opportunity to foster increased innovation and collaboration between its teams and customers. The building will house functions necessary to utilize material from a “raw material” standpoint all the way through manufacturing, anodizing, pre-assembly, full-assembly, and shipping within the same building, reducing the need to ship product to other facilities to complete necessary steps prior to packaging. This building will be the first for the Fox family that will house anodizing and clean room facilities within a building owned by the company itself, eliminating the need to outsource activities in their overall shock production process.
The Sky’s the Limit
Site challenges require creative solutions. Sometimes when a job site can’t utilize a crane to set materials due to limited access, we have to figure out a unique way to accomplish the task. On the Fox Factory project, we tackled this challenge by using a Sikorsky helicopter to successfully set 33 HVAC units in place on the roof.
