Partners for the Arts
Carroll Daniel collaborated with the City of Lawrenceville and Aurora Theatre to build the new Lawrenceville Arts Center, a 60,042 SF performing arts venue featuring a 500-seat main theater, 150-seat cabaret space and a courtyard performance area.
Working on a Tight Jobsite in a Busy Area
Building on less than two acres in the center of Lawrenceville, our team worked closely with the city and downtown neighbors to develop and communicate a strategic logistics plan. Because of limited space for materials, we utilized a just-in-time delivery approach to keep the jobsite organized and efficient. When erection of the precast concrete structure required on-site assembly of a 400-ton crane, the team staged crane assist vehicles along the interstate, calling on them individually to avoid gridlock in the city.
Utilizing Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Tools to Ensure a Flawless Production
When structural steel erection was close to beginning, the LPAC project team and our VDC | Design department met with our sub partners to coordinate steel erection inside the precast structure of the new main theater.
