Improving MARTA Transit Stations across Atlanta
Carroll Daniel | Moody, a Joint Venture, was chosen to complete the MARTA College Park Station Paver Replacement project. The scope of this project consisted of the demolition of existing brick pavers and sub slab, remediation of subgrade materials, and the installation of 4,000 psi concrete paving with architectural decorative concrete, new landscaping, benches & waste receptacles at the East and West plazas. The project was phased to allow MARTA patrons continuous access into the station during construction.
Trains Roll on During Renovations
With nearly 500,000 riders per day, MARTA must keep passengers moving while improvements are being made. Our team brought experience working in operational and fast-paced environments with a sensitivity and respect for the policies, procedures and safety initiatives specific to public transit systems. The team maximized the work schedule while minimizing impacts to the operation and mitigating risks for passengers and MARTA employees, performing much of the work at non-peak travel times.
