Project Overview
Interface, Inc. is a global commercial flooring company and one of the world’s largest manufacturers of carpet tiles and resilient flooring. The company’s headquarters is in Atlanta, GA, and the center of operations is in LaGrange, GA.
This location mainly focuses on the manufacturing and production of the product. Interface is known for its innovative and new approaches to all things flooring related. Their unique ideas have helped grow the company substantially, creating a need to expand. Interface selected Carroll Daniel Engineering, formerly known as O’Neal Inc., to provide design and construction services for the expansion.
Two Phases, One Vision
The expansion was broken into two phases. Phase 1 was completed in 2018 and added 45,000 SF of production space. Phase 2 was completed in 2019 and transitioned a 30,000 SF warehouse operation into a new, purpose-built 100,000 SF facility. The finished building has a unique appearance with a large accent window that gives a modern feel to a traditional manufacturing facility.
