Commitment to Educational Excellence
Hall County Schools’ newest elementary school will be named Sandra Dunagan Deal Elementary School (SDDES) in honor of the late First Lady of Georgia and former Hall County Schools teacher, Sandra Deal. Rooted in the heart of the community, the new elementary school’s commitment to nurturing young minds reflects Sandra Deal’s dedicated service and passion for education. The state-of-the-art school will embrace her legacy by providing an innovative environment where students are inspired to explore, learn, and grow.
Noah Deal, grandson of Sandra and Nathan Deal, joined the Carroll Daniel Construction team & worked on this project through the summer of 2023.
Honoring a Legacy, Shaping the Future
The new 2-story, 133,034 school will replace both White Sulphur and Riverbend Elementary Schools — with the capacity to serve 1025 students. In addition to the 2-story classroom tower, SDDES has space to support art, music & film, family learning, and computer science. A gym, computer lab, and large learning commons help round out the overall learning environment.
