BRUNSWICK, GA. – On Wednesday, April 16, Carroll Daniel proudly continued its partnership with the Georgia Ports Authority by hosting a Team Appreciation Lunch at the Colonel’s Island Terminal Rail Yard. Carroll Daniel team members served bar-b-que and refreshments to over 100 subcontractor partners as a heartfelt thank you for their hard work and dedication. Every person has played a key role in moving this project forward, and we truly appreciate the commitment they bring to the job every day.

Colonel’s Island Terminal (CIT), located in Georgia’s Port of Brunswick, is recognized as one of the largest automotive processing facilities in the United States. This project at the CIT Rail Yard includes construction of the first phase of a new intermodal yard, featuring a lead track, two working tracks, and a bypass track. Carroll Daniel will be responsible for installing approximately 17,000 feet of rail, developing 12 acres of paved staging area, and providing fire protection systems, site grading, subdrainage, high-mast lighting, a gate booth with canopy, pavement markings, and other supporting infrastructure necessary to complete the project.
