MARIETTA, GA – Carroll Daniel Construction joined Kennesaw State University (KSU) on Friday, February 7, for a team appreciation lunch and topping out ceremony at the site of the new Interdisciplinary Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (ISTEM) Building on the Marietta, Georgia campus. The approximately 100,000 SF, two-story building will house both wet and dry laboratory research spaces to meet the needs of the school’s diverse STEM projects.

“We are proud to join Kennesaw State University today to celebrate this project milestone—one that would not be possible without the tireless effort and dedication of everyone here today,” said Bryan Burnette, Vice President & Division Manager at Carroll Daniel Construction. “Thank you all for your contributions in making this project a success.”

The ISTEM Building broke ground in February 2024 and will support innovative STEM-based research and educational activities geared toward building the future workforce. This facility will function as a collaborative space for faculty, researchers, and students involved in Biomedical and Health Sciences, Safe and Sustainable Communities, Human Development and Well-Being and Computer and Technology programs. The ISTEM Building is set to open by the 2025 fall semester and will accommodate KSU’s growing STEM programs and student body.
